A 'requirement' of the Camino is traveling light, so I had only a phone to communicate and found it didn't work well at all - like really sucky! So, I was not able to blog but wanted to catch up a bit. Anyway, to sum things up:
Traveled on Wow airlines through Iceland, an overnight in Paris, a train to Bayonne and time to walk, watch the sunset and have dinner, and a last train ride arriving in St. Jean Pied de Port at 10:45 p.m. where I spent two nights getting my pilgrim's passport and preparing to start the walk.
Due to time constraints and fun, I only made it as far as Santo Domingo de la Calzada (about 1/3 of the way), but plan to return and finish that which I have started. I met great people, heard interesting stories, ate great food, drank abundant wine, got blisters, visited beautiful places and fell in love with Spain. I've attached some photos below.
